Ginn Championship 2009 - March 30-April 5

In what seemed like deja vu, the winds picked up on the final day of the 2008 Ginn Championship™, but this year it was Bernhard Langer who showed that he was ready for any change in the weather. With a final round of a one under 71, Langer was one of only three players to finish under par for the day, and as his closest challengers continued to fall by the wayside, Langer remained on top of his game to finish with an eight stroke lead at twelve under!

Fred Funk and Lonnie Nielson (the leader after day one) provided the most consistent threat to Langer, but in the end Langer proved that he deserved his place atop the leaderboard. A position that was made even better by the presence of his backup caddy, and son, Stefan.

In 2007 it was Keith Fergus who held on as strong winds pushed scores higher on the last day of the Inaugural Ginn Championship. Fergus's '07 victory made him the second player ever to win a tournament on the PGA Champions Tour, PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour.
