BriarRose Land Co. founder and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Davis recently became president once again of Ginn Real Estate Co., and will oversee sales and marketing for the company’s nine communities, including BriarRose.  Davis was president of Ginn Real Estate from 1999 to 2003, when he left to acquire the Georgia property and launch BriarRose.

Prior to joining Ginn Resorts™ in 1999, Davis was a partner with Resort Management Associates (RMA), a company that specializes in the sales, marketing and management of resort amenity communities.  RMA recently formed a partnership with Bobby Ginn to become Ginn Real Estate.

A 1973 graduate of Mars Hill College, Davis played in the National Football League and World Football League, and was formerly a coach and athletic administrator at the high school and college level.  He previously served as director of sales and marketing for the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.  He began his resort real estate career in 1986 at Keowee Key in Salem, South Carolina as resale director, sales director, sales manager and broker-in-charge.

He went on to serve as a sales and marketing consultant for St. James Plantation, where he was instrumental in transforming sleepy Southport, North Carolina into one of the Southeast’s top retirement and vacation home destinations in only four years.  As a sales and marketing consultant to Intrawest Snowshoe Development, Inc., Snowshoe, West Virginia, he directed the launch of a new condominium project resulting in the largest single real estate sales event in West Virginia’s history – more than $6 million in sales in one day.  He has held executive management positions with Reynolds Plantation, Greensboro, Georgia and served as sales and marketing consultant to more than a dozen development communities.  In 1997, A.C.E.S. Association in Hilton Head, South Carolina, named him Top Sales & Marketing Executive in the Southeast.
